Do you have a child entering kindergarten this fall?  A new state initiative, Cruise into Kindergarten, is helping parents and librarians find ways to develop essential early literacy skills that get children ready for kindergarten through talking, singing, reading, writing and playing.  Miss Jennifer, Librarian, has been trained in the curricululm and will be offering six class-like experiences for children at the Gelnett Library.  Preregistration is required, as space is limited.  To register, please call 570-374-7163, ext. 1 or email jmjohnston@ptd.net.  These classes will be on these Fridays:  May 13 and 27, June 10 and 24, July 8 and 22 at 10am at the Gelnett Library in Selinsgrove.

Are you trying to find AR (Accelerated Reader) books at the proper level for your child?  Use AR BookFinder to look up book levels. Selinsgrove Area School District parents:  if you wish to login to your child's account to see what they have read, what tests they have taken, how many points they have, their word count, etc.  go to Renaissance Home Connect.  Your child will need to tell you their username and password.  Snyder County Libraries doesn't have this information.
